Student Veterans of America National Conference 2019
The board members of the SVO had the amazing opportunity to attending the Student Veterans of America National Conference in January 2019.
NatCon was the largest gathering of student veterans in the United States. Over 2,300 student veterans were in attendance at the conference which was held in Orlando, FL. Higher education professionals, alumni, advocates, and many employers were also in attendance at the event.
There were numerous breakout sessions that we were able to attend. The topics ranged from Competing in the Private Sector, Creating Your Brand, How to make your pitch to University & City leadership, Vocational Rehab overviews, information on non-profits, leveraging LinkIn to get ahead, STEM, Law school information, resume workshops, and more.
Sponsors and employers at the event included Google, Microsoft, Accenture, EY, LinkedIn, BP, Raytheon, Amazon, PGM, Wells Fargo, USAA, FourBlock, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and many more.
